I joined Assurity Consulting in September 2017 as an Apprentice Consultant and was promoted to a fully qualified Consultant and Service Leader in May 2019. During my apprenticeship, I completed a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration with the College of Richard Collyer and alongside this I successfully completed an intensive training period to deliver Workplace Environmental Assessments. The apprenticeship scheme has given me the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of how businesses are structured and how they run, as well as gaining valuable technical skills and an understanding of the industry that we work in.
Following my promotion in 2019, I developed my technical skills and knowledge by joining the ‘Access Team’ to deliver Access Audits as well as working on various projects to develop the service internally. In order to further my skill set, I have also been allowed the opportunity to become a member of the Access Association, as well as work towards Auditor status with the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC). I have since completed the NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate, and learnt to deliver Fire Risk Assessments. The chance to further my professional development is never restricted which is allowing me to continue and progress my career with Assurity Consulting – every day is a school day.
The best thing about working at Assurity Consulting is the support system available, in other words, my colleagues. My Manager, Deputy Manager and Co-ordinator are always at the end of the phone should I need them, as well as the rest of the team; which creates a friendly and positive atmosphere within the office environment. I also really enjoy having the ability to work in buildings all over the United Kingdom, as well as some abroad. The opportunities to visit new and exciting places, as well as meeting new people, are never limited.
