Carrie Liddell
Marketing Coordinator, Assurity Consulting
17th February 2022
It was a pleasure to meet so many people at the Horsham District Councils' Apprenticeship and Skills Fair, and discuss the careers opportunities we have to offer at Assurity Consulting. We were delighted to be one of the 32 exhibitors attending on Saturday 12th February, and was fantastic to get face to face with the local community again for 2022.
Over 600 people attended the fair to speak with organisations about the opportunities they have to offer. We had the opportunity to meet a number of attendees, and to talk to them not just about our business, but our Apprentice Consultant role as well.
The apprenticeship scheme has given me the opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of how businesses are structured and how they run, as well as gaining valuable technical skills and an understanding of the industry that we work in.
- Katie Howard, Consultant
Our Consultant Apprentice role for college leavers is a two year programme that gives our apprentices the skills to become one of our fully fledged Consultants. We don't look for temporary labour, instead our apprenticeship scheme is about investing in people, our employee wellbeing, and building their career with us. Apprentices who are successful in their role are offered the position of Consultant at the end of the programme, and gain all the benefits that come with this such as a fully expensed company car.
Apprentices with us develop skills in a number of areas, from how to deliver our services and the legal side of health and safety, to account management, networking, and selling. Apprentices also gain a recognised diploma in business administration as a part of their training.
One of my favourite things about working at Assurity Consulting is the support offered, whether it be a question out on site, or some of my college work which I may be stuck with, someone is always happy to help. The friendly and collaborative culture of the business is another aspect of working here which I really like.
- Tom Lilliott, Consultant
We created our Apprentice Consultant role because we recognised that University isn't for everybody, and we wanted to offer our Consultant role to a wider reach of talented people. Consultants who have joined our company by becoming apprentices with us have made invaluable contributions to our business, and are great assets to the Assurity Consulting team.
Assurity Consulting will be recruiting again for our Apprentice Consultant role in autumn, so if this role sounds like it could be for you keep an eye on our vacancies page for when applications open.
