Food Safety Audits

Food safety management is a key element for employee welfare. Even if you contract out your catering, you are still ultimately responsible for it. At best, food can aid performance and even enhance employee loyalty; at worst, it can be a threat to your employee’s health and productivity.

Our food safety audit will help make sure that the food provided on your premises is safe. In addition, a poor Food Hygiene Rating can affect your reputation, so standards of hygiene need to be maintained in your:

  • Kitchens;
  • Restaurants;
  • Food storage rooms;
  • Changing rooms; and
  • Toilets.

As part of the food safety audit, we check your allergen training to make sure that an allergen matrix is completed for each dish produced by the catering contractor. We also check that information for consumers regarding any of the 14 allergens is available. This will make sure that anyone with a food intolerance can make an informed decision about what is safe for them to eat.

At Assurity Consulting, our food consultants allocated to your site(s) will be appropriately qualified with a Level 4 certificate in managing food safety in catering or higher and will have building services experience. They are supported by a colleague who has environmental health experience.

Food safety is not only an important issue for employees and visitors, but with increasing legislation you need to be able to demonstrate compliance and management control of your systems and facilities.

An Assurity Consulting food safety audit uses a combination of document checks and visual inspections to provide you with a report, that details where you are and so what needs to be done, if anything to maintain the reassurance you need.
