Particularly in the areas of health, safety and wellbeing, the demands on organisations for not just compliance, but proactive and meaningful management is perhaps now greater than ever been, as are the consequences for getting it wrong.
We are therefore delighted to have two experts joining us on our next webinar 09:30-10:30 on Tuesday 5th July to consider some of the changes and influences.
David Travers QC, Barrister at Gough Square Chambers considers the current application of the Definitive Sentencing Guidelines, using the prosecution of WH Malcolm Ltd., in which he appeared for the Office of Rail and Road. The company received a fine of £6.5m (the largest fine in over 20 years) which was recently upheld by the Court of Appeal.
Lauren Lee, Consultancy Services Deputy Manager and fire service lead at Assurity Consulting, then takes a look at the recent and forthcoming changes brought about by the Fire Safety Act 2021 and Building Safety Act 2022, and what they could mean for those responsible for managing buildings in the future.
So please come and join us virtually 09:30-10:30 on Tuesday 5th July for what will be an important as well as informative update on your legal requirements.
