Assurity Consulting's Charity Activity - 2022

At Assurity Consulting, supporting our local community is very important to us and we put effort into helping local charities and establishments, using the resources we have as a small to medium enterprise.

As COVID-19 restrictions have been reduced in 2022, we’ve been able to do much more to support a number of causes and charities. We have reintroduced our “Make a Difference Days” – one paid day our employees receive per annum, to spend giving back to their local community.

Our employees can use this day to support any cause of their choosing – from volunteering at a local school to participating in a fundraising event. They can also join us on the team Make a Difference Days we organise internally, and this year our people have volunteered at The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre in Crawley, YMCA in Horsham, and Springboard in Horsham – carrying out tasks such as tidying their gardens and painting murals for visitors to enjoy!

A massive thank you for last Friday. We feel honoured to have such a long-lasting relationship with Assurity, It means so much to us and really gives the centre a new lease of life.
– Vickie Harvey, Fundraising and Communications Manager at Springboard

Our consultants have also given their health and safety expertise to Springboard free of charge, saving the local charity thousands of pounds by providing them with bespoke inspections and advice. In 2022, we have also supported various local education establishments such as The College of Richard Collyer, Therfield School, and the Weald School – attending careers fairs for younger students to help expand their horizons on what their options are after education.

We’ve also been able to do plenty of fundraising – holding events at our office such as bake-offs and afternoon teas for our employees to participate in. We like to contribute to the fundraisers run by our employees, customers, and suppliers - from sponsored bike rides to walking challenges. This enables us to both support our local causes, and our employee wellbeing.

In 2022, we sponsored some of our employees to take part in the St Catherine's Hospice Midnight Walk - and we sponsored the Volunteer of the Year Award for the Springboard 30th Anniversary as well!

Thank you to each and every one of you at Assurity Consulting for your continued support. With the help of local businesses such as yours, we are able to carry on providing the care and support to the children and families who need it most.
- Alison Taylor, Corporate Fundraising Manager, Chestnut Tree House

We are proud to say that in 2022, Assurity Consulting has been able to fundraise a total of £2,530 to date. These successes wouldn't have happened without the efforts and generosity of our people, so a huge thank you to all for their hard work. From baking cakes to preparing murals, training for sporting events, offering their time and expertise, and more - our people have been able to make a real difference to the causes they care about. We believe that giving our people the support and opportunity to contribute to the causes they care about is important when it comes to our employee wellbeing, as well as the world around us.

We look forward to seeing what we achieve in 2022!
