With concerns cited that, there have been COVID outbreaks because of poor compliance with social distancing guidelines in some workplaces and hospitality settings.”

Ruby Sayed, Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s Community & Children's Services Committee said, “whilst everyone in the country is eager to reach Step 4 of the Government’s Roadmap – which would end all legal limits on people’s social contact – we need to ensure that all steps are taken to halt the rise in infection rising across the capital.”

While it is likely The City of London Corporation will not be the only local authority raising these concerns, we still await an announcement from the Government on the future timetable for the easing of restrictions.

Overall, we have seen a very high degree of compliance with the vast majority of our customers working with us on their COVID-19 secure controls and their wider, air, water, fire and health and safety management, be it in the Square Mile or further afield.
