In preparing for the coming months, we must focus on the future and what we can do to continue to keep our workplaces COVID-19 Secure and build the confidence of our users, so that they can see our places of work remain safe environments.

The workplace offers our people so much more than just a place to do their work. It is a place to see their friends and colleagues, a place to share their stories, their joys and their concerns, it is a place to find structure and inspiration. It is a space to collaborate and learn, to support and nurture.

Whilst working from home has provided many with work life balance benefits, office based work and working from home is likely to shift as restrictions lift, and people will naturally want to return to their workplace, so what can we do to provide them with that confidence?

By way of reassurance, the vast majority of premises we are working in show a very high level of being COVID-19 Secure, as well as general health and safety compliance. Added to which, air and water quality has also been of a high quality.

The increased awareness of public health and health and safety has, by its nature, given rise to greater scrutiny from employees over their working life as well as home and social life. How employers communicate what they are doing and the effectiveness of the controls they have in place, is though down to the information they have on their performance.

We would of course be delighted to help you in demonstrating how effective your controls are if we’re not already!
